E-Com21: Riga as an E-commerce Hub – Paysto Expands Presence

Publication Date: November 29, 2013

In late November, November 21–22, 2013, Riga hosted the II International E-commerce Forum «eCom21». Given the success of the first conference, this event attracted even more participants — over 400 professionals from 25 countries, which strengthened Riga's status as an authoritative discussion platform between Eastern and Western Europe.

Paysto management once again took an active part in the forum, focusing on business structuring, optimizing payment mechanisms, and increasing the profitability of cross-border trade, which is our main priority.

📈 Strengthening Positions in the Baltics and Eastern Europe

The 2013 conference focused on issues of building the legal structure of online business, taxation, and fraud prevention practices. For Paysto, this became an ideal platform for promoting our comprehensive solutions:

  1. Legal Consulting: We discussed optimal European structures for their businesses with clients and partners, relying on our deep knowledge in compliance and regulation.
  2. Technological Adaptation: We demonstrated how our payment gateway adapts to the dynamically changing requirements of European and Eastern European legislation, ensuring stability and security for clients.

🤝 Expansion of Strategic Partnerships

The «eCom21» conference in 2013 was held under the patronage of Rietumu Banka and with the general partnership of ECommPay. Top managers shaping the region's payment landscape were present at the forum.

Paysto actively developed relationships established a year earlier and forged new connections, particularly with:

  • ECommPay: Discussion of opportunities for joint work to improve processing and expand the geography of payment acceptance.
  • Leading Payment Systems: Deepened cooperation with Visa and MasterCard to ensure high-quality card processing.
  • CIS Players: Strengthening ties with leaders of the Eastern European market to optimize transactions with regional e-wallets and banks.

➡️ Business Without Borders

Decision-making at Paysto is always based on the desire to create business without borders for our clients. The 2013 forum confirmed that Riga is indeed a key hub for establishing such interaction. New partnership agreements and acquired expertise allow us to even more effectively expand our services in Eastern Europe, offering the most modern and reliable tools for working in the international market.

We thank the organizers and participants for their productive work and look forward to the next conference!
