From May 31 to June 1, 2022, the Paysto team participated in the largest regional conference Seamless Middle East in Dubai. This key event unites leaders in e-commerce, retail, and the payment industry and served as an ideal platform for announcing our next-generation platform.
We presented how Paysto, as an application platform, utilizes the core operational infrastructure OMSI20 (Online Merchant Service Infrastructure 2020) to ensure seamless and fully legal operations in complex markets, such as Russia.
OMSI20: The Infrastructure Foundation of Paysto
At the conference, we emphasized that Paysto is not just a payment gateway. It's a comprehensive solution built on OMSI20 that relieves businesses of all operational and regulatory burdens. OMSI20 was developed to address the main challenges faced by international companies entering the Russian market:
- Local Compliance: Ensuring full compliance with complex local laws, including 54-FZ (online cash registers) and 152-FZ (personal data protection).
- Payment Flexibility: A unified API for working with various payment types and providers.

OMSI20 allowed us to create the first version of our operational model, where Paysto acts as a platform for practical application, providing businesses with a ready-made, legal, and integrated back-office.
Focus on E-commerce and Payments in the UAE
Seamless Middle East provided a unique opportunity to discuss how Paysto can help Middle Eastern companies and startups scale beyond the MENA region, particularly in Russia and the CIS.
We held a series of productive meetings with major e-commerce and FinTech players looking for ready-made solutions for cross-border trade. The following Paysto features garnered interest:
- Zero CAPEX in Russia: We demonstrated how our model allows businesses to avoid capital expenditures on purchasing and maintaining fiscal equipment.
- Seamless B2B/B2C Payments: A demonstration of our ability to process a wide range of transactions with automatic fiscalization.

Our participation in Seamless 2022 marked an important stage in our international positioning. The feedback received from industry leaders confirmed our focus on ensuring high scalability and integration flexibility of the platform. We observe a growing demand for more powerful and adaptive solutions for cross-border e-commerce. This experience, based on the successful operation of OMSI20, will form the basis for further strategic decisions and plans for the development of our technological core, aimed at expanding client capabilities and strengthening our position in the international market.
