Domain Ownership Verification in Timeweb

This guide will help you place a TXT record to verify a domain hosted on the Timeweb.com hosting service or using the Timeweb.cloud cloud platform, as part of connecting to Paysto.

Important: Paysto generates a unique verification code for each web resource. Use only the code specified in the "Domain Verification" block on your web resource connection page to Paysto.

Example in this guide: web resource address lorem.my-domain.ru and TXT record value market-verification=25791 — do not use these values to verify your domain.

Step 1: Get TXT Record Data in Paysto

1. Open the request page for connecting your web resource to Paysto.

2. Go to the "Domain Verification" block. Here you will find the Host (1) and Value (2) for your TXT record. Copy them:

   

Step 2: Log in to the Timeweb Control Panel

1. Log in to the Timeweb control panel.

2. In the left menu:

   • Open the Domains section.
   • Select the My Domains item.

3. Find your domain in the list or use the search field.

4. Click the context menu button (three vertical dots) at the end of the domain name row.

5. In the dropdown menu, select DNS Editor:

   

Step 3: Add a New TXT Record

1. On the DNS Editor page, click the + Add Record button:

   

2. In the record creation form that opens:

   • Open the Type dropdown menu and select TXT:

     

   • Host Field:

     • If your site is located at the root of the domain (e.g., example.com), leave this field empty.
     • If your site is located on a subdomain (e.g., shop.example.com), specify only the subdomain hostname, i.e., shop. Make sure this matches the Host field (1) from Paysto.

     

     Paysto will verify the TXT record for the domain (or subdomain) you specified in the connection request. Make sure the record's Host matches this value.

   • In the Value field: Insert the TXT record value you copied from Paysto (the Value field (2) in Paysto).

   • Click the Save button.

   

Step 4: Verify TXT Record Placement in Paysto

1. Return to the browser tab with the Paysto connection request form.
2. Click the Check Placement button.

After successful verification, the status will change to "Record Found":

If Paysto does not detect the TXT record, check the accuracy of the entered data in Timeweb and try again in 10 minutes. If the problem persists, contact Timeweb support or Paysto support.

Step 5: Complete the Connection

Click the Save button to complete the domain verification process and submit your web resource for moderation in Paysto.
